Mary Kathryn Scarbrough, 72, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, in Batesville, AR. She was born on May 27, 1952, in Leachville, AR, to the late John Hendrix and Esther Hall. Mary was a member of Cushman United Methodist Church. She was always very involved in the church, even starting their food pantry and clothing room. She enjoyed sewing and made baby blankets and quilts and sold them for the church as well. She liked to fish in her spare time. Above all else, she loved taking care of her grandkids.

Mary is survived by her husband of fifty-three years, David Wesley Scarbrough; sons, David Tobius Scarbrough (Shannon) and Jason Scarbrough (Renea); daughters, Amanda Moser (Jimmy) and Esther Kathleen Tharp (Kevin); grandchildren, Derek Tharp, Jessica Tharp, Brian Bradley Dailing, Shelbie Scarbrough, Rheagan Hill, Trysten Martz, Gabriel Scarbrough, Kayla Terry, McKenzie Mason, Angel Lovell, Jordan Scarbrough, Nathaniel Scarbrough, Samantha Williams, Ashelen Hunt, and Ashton Moser; and seventeen great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Hendrix, Esther Hall, and Alvin Drake; five half-sisters, one half-brother; and grandson, Darren Tharp.
