Mary "Anita" Baker, 70, of Melbourne passed away late Friday, October 18, 2019. Anita was born June 16, 1949 in Batesville, AR. Anita was of the Christian faith and a long-time member at Calvary Baptist Church in Batesville. Anita was known for her beautiful signing voice, even having been broadcast on the radio and TV once. She loved cooking, especially canning. She enjoyed gathering with her friends, whether they were visiting, coloring, or just enjoying each other's company. She loved her friends, family, and her cat "Nu-Nu". Anita is preceded in death by her mother Carol Heuer. She is survived by her father, Don Heuer, her former husband and close friend, John Baker, two daughters, Angie Franks (Steve) and Stephanie Phillips, her step-son, Donnie Butler, her brother, Jeff Heuer, her former sister-in-law and good friend Debbie Heuer, her nephew, Dustin Heuer, 4 grandchildren: Blaine, Sheridan, Sydney, and Blake, two step-grandchildren, Dara and Chelsie, and a host of friends and people whose lives she has touched. Arrangements are entrusted to Willis Funeral Service of Batesville. There will be a visitation Tuesday, October 22 from 12-2 PM with a 2PM Funeral Service, both at Willis Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville. Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Steve Franks, Blake Franks, Bruce Ramey, Dustin Heuer, and Norman Butler. Recognized as Honorary Pallbearers are: Blaine Ramey and Donnie Butler.
