Margie Ann Stephens, 67, of Violet Hill, departed this life on Thursday, November 4, 2021. She was born April 11, 1954, in Jonesboro, AR to Russell Carmickle and Lyda Luter Carmickle. Margie was a devoted Christian who loved Jesus more than anything in this world. She loved participating in church activities with kids. She loved to sing, dance, and go on walks. She also enjoyed sitting and visiting with those she loved. Above all else, Margie had the biggest heart in the world. She will be missed greatly by all those who knew and loved her.

Margie is survived by her daughters, Marsha McArtor (Kevin), Danyelle Vermillion (Dale), and Doris Willis; sisters, Ruthie Rogers (Gaylon), Velma Wyatt (Kenny), and Rosie Hill (Bobby); grandchildren, Danny Ervin III (Kristina), Matt McArtor, Chris Stephens, Joshua Stephens (Shyanne), Charles McArtor (Tabitha), Anna Vermillion, Gabriela Vermillion, and Payton Walker Hayes; fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Birtha Anderson, Mamie Brielmaier, and Lucille Carmickle; and brother, Russell Carmickle Jr.
