Margie Ann Scogin, 60, of Cave City passed away, Sunday, July 13, 2014 in Cave City. She was born December 13, 1953 in Arcola, Mississippi to Aubrey Glendon Horton and Clara Louise Williams Horton. She worked as an Inventory Control Clerk at Lifeplus and was a member of the Newark Church of Christ. Margie enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening, sewing, her family and teaching her grandchildren arts and crafts. Survivers include her husband, Dennis Scogin of the home; her mother, Clara Louise Williams Sheddy of Cave City; two sons, Jason Michael Jones of Swifton and Nathan Rorie Jones of Bono; one brother, Gary Lamar Horton of Oil Trough; one sister, Glenda Horton Rodgers of Lubbock, TX; and eight grandchildren, Breanna Jones, Amelia Jones, Jason Michael Jones, Jr., Austin Deforrest Jones, Alissa Michelle Jones, James Anthony Jones, Seth Tyler Jones, and Wesley Alexander Gage Jones. She is preceeded in death by her father and her aunt, Nell Moss. Memorial Services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel with Danny Blevins officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice, 2233 Harrison Street, Batesville, Arkansas 72501. There will be a private burial at a later date.
