Marcus Alan Nix, 34, passed away on November 3, 2021. He was born in Newport, AR, on December 18, 1986, to Harold and Sonia Nix. On May 22, 2010, he married the love of his life, Cassi Evans.

Summing up someone's life is no easy task. And when trying to sum up the life of someone so unique and special, like Marcus, there are simply not enough words. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing, spelunking, flying a Cessna plane, riding 4-wheelers, camping, metal detecting, and looking at and studying the stars. He also enjoyed reading about history and participating in civil war reenactments with his father. But above all, he loved spending time with his kids and playing with them. Marcus was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. His legacy and memory will live on in the hearts of those that loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cassi Nix; parents, Harold and Sonia Nix; daughters, Isabella Nix and Lillian Nix; son, Evan Nix; brothers, Matthew Nix and Justin Pierce; and grandmother, Norma Greer. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Curtis Nix and Orene Nix, and Gerald Greer, all from Malvern, AR.

A visitation will be held at Willis Funeral Service on Sunday, November 7, 2021, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The funeral service, officiated by Pastor Vance Penn, will follow the visitation, starting at 4 p.m.
