Obituary

Marcus Edmon Branscum, 83, passed away on October 9, 2021. He was born on December 2, 1937, in Rosie, Arkansas to Thomas and Meda (Young) Branscum. Marcus loved the lord and enjoyed talking about his Baptist faith. He was a member of the Rosie Baptist Church in Rosie, Arkansas. He was a very diligent worker who did excellent work with his hands in so many words a "Jack of all trades."  He was a welder, carpenter, and a retired- rock mason. He was a very generous man who would help anyone in need. His entire world consisted of his family, especially his loving wife, Montine.

He is survived by his wife, of 63 years, Montine (Foster) Branscum; son, Marcus Edmon Branscum Jr. (Stacey) of Rosie; daughters, Debbie Jean Keyton (Gary) of Meadow Lake, Cindy Gwyn Fox (Shane) of Malvern, Lottie Montine Bond (Boyd) of Southside, also loved like a daughter, Janet Harris (DeWayne); granddaughter, Stephanie Chance; four grandsons, Beau Canter, Zac Branscum, Luc Branscum, and Alex Branscum; two great-grandsons, Beau Canter Jr. and Cash Branscum; two great-granddaughters, Belle Canter and Jovi Branscum; sisters, Kathlene Pectol of Melbourne and Emma J Kever of Melbourne, and sister-in-law Betty Branscum. Marcus is preceded in death by his parents; his four brothers, Ulis Branscum, John Ed Branscum, Archie Branscum, Logan Branscum; sisters, Evelene McBride, Fay Elumbaugh, Wanda Lee Lingo, and Mae Fike.

A visitation will be Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Willis Funeral Service from 5-7 PM. A funeral service, officiated by Brother Farrell Miller, will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 2 PM at Rosie Baptist Church with interment to follow at Maple Springs Cemetery.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Sammy McBride, Donnie Branscum, Norman Branscum, Bruce Sullivan, Chris Huckaba, and Jon Bruce. The honorary pallbearers include Beau Canter, Zac Branscum, Luc Branscum, Alex Branscum, Beau Canter Jr., Bud McBride, Stephanie Chance, Dr. Greg Neaville, Dr. Margaret Kuykendall, and Wayman Kramer.
