Mamye J. Farris, formerly of Batesville left this world to be with the Lord, Sunday, February 1, 2015 at the Arkansas Hospice Facility in Russellville, Arkansas. Born February 9, 1924, she was the daughter of Shelby and Maggie Qualls Arnold of Evening Shade. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, her parents and her husband of sixty-six years, Floyd Farris. Mamye was a housewife, an excellent cook and housekeeper. She was a member of the Church of Christ attending for many years at Southside and more recently at Harrison Street, Batesville. Survivors include a son, Mike Farris and his wife, Anita, of Ashland City, Tennessee; a daughter, Carolyn Clark and her husband, Jim, of Pottsville, Arkansas; two brothers, Fred Arnold and his wife, Betty, of Greenville, Texas and Noel Arnold and his wife, Pansy, of Evening Shade; one sister, Margie Arnold Brown of Harrisburg; five grandsons and six great-grandsons. Visitation will be held at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville beginning at 9:30 A.M. Funeral will follow at 10:30 A.M. with Thomas German officiating. Burial will be in Egner Cemetery at Salado. Pallbearers will be Alistair Clark, James Farris, Michael Farris, Brett Farris, Barry Farris and Timothy Farris.
