Logan Branscum, 78, of Southside passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014 in Batesville. He was born October 27, 1935 in Rosie to Thomas Edmond Branscum and Meda Young Branscum. He was a machinist, a member of the Ramsey Heights Baptist Church, enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Betty Branscum; two sons, Michael Branscum and his wife Dyanne of Springfield, MO and Norman Branscum and his wife Gloria of Southside; one daughter, LaDonna Topich and her husband Bill of Little Rock; one brother, Marcus Branscum and his wife Montine of Rosie; four sisters, Evelene McBride of Bethesda, Kathlene Pectol of Melbourne, May Fike and her husband Karrell of Maple Springs, Emma Kever of Melbourne; six grandchildren, Nicole Topich-Young, Kristin Topich, Shyanne Branscum, Anita McGee, Jordan Branscum, Ryan Branscum and two great grandchildren, Logan McGee and Lauren McGee. He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Archie Branscum; two sisters, Wanda Lingo and Fay Elumbaugh and two half brothers, Ulis Branscum and John Ed Branscum. Services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the Ramsey Heights Baptist Church with Bro. T. Aaron Maxwell officiating. Interment will be at Kyler Cemetery in Southside. Pallbearers are Bruce Sullivan, Ernie Stroh, Jerry Brashers, Carl Young, Jonathan Young, and Joey Richardson. Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Bill Waldrip, Dr. Jim Lytle, Dr. Bijay Nair, Home Health, Arkansas Hospice, and the former employees of Main Auto. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ramsey Heights Baptist Church, 449 Heber Springs Road, Batesville, AR 72501. Visitation is Friday, June 13, 2014 from 6 to 8 P.M.
