Lillie Mae Watkins, 95, of Batesville passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013 in Batesville. She was born June 2, 1918 in LaCrosse, Arkansas to parents, Earnest and Lizzie Darty. She was a member of the Bethel A.M.E. Church where she was a Missionary, Stewardess, Deaconess, Usher, and was involved in prayer meetings on Wednesday. Lillie was preceded in death by her husband, Arvin Watkins; one son, Arvin Watkins, Jr.; one daughter, Margaret Harper; one grandson, Michael Harper; and one great grandson, Dustin Watkins. Survivors include one daughter, Lois Clay of St. Louis, MO; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and thirteen great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Bethel A.M.E. Church with Reverend Curley Roberts, Reverend Ernest Vance and Reverend Hinda Gibbs officiating. Interment will follow in LaCrosse Cemetery in LaCrosse, AR. Pallbearers are Jeffrey Clay, Robert Clay, Tyler Osborne, Justin Watkins, Eddie Padgett, and Everett Lindsey. Honorary Pallbearers are Bob Clay, E.W. Kennard, Randall Watkins, Terrance Osborne, Howard House, Rev. Frank Brooks, Donald Weatherman, and Dr. Robert Walton.
