Lester William
Isbell
Apr 5, 1959 — Jul 30, 2026
Southside, AR
With deep love, we announce the passing of Lester William Isbell– a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather who passed away on the evening of July 29th, 2026 in Batesville, Arkansas, surrounded by his loving family.
Lester was born on April 5th, 1959 in Birmingham, Alabama to Winnie Ruth Mitchell and Elvie William Isbell, and he was raised and lived in Vernon, Alabama for most of his life, and moved to Arkansas. He taught his family the value of hard work, and the importance of laughter. He often expressed his love for a person by picking on them and expecting them to do the same. Lester was no stranger to doing something goofy just to get someone to laugh. His light heart and can-do spirit had an impact on everyone he came in contact with, and his presence will be greatly missed.
Lester is survived by his lovely wife, Becky (Wells) Isbell, his children, Kenneth Isbell, Kimberly (Isbell) Barber and Alan, Jonathan Blackburn and Jo, Justin Blackburn and Mandy, Sisters Sandra, Libby, and Ruby, as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Sharon Isbell, his brother Jimmy, brother Louie and sister Patsy.
A memorial service in honor of Lester will be held Saturday, August 8th at Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland, AR at 6 p.m.
