Lawanda Lucile Ross, 75, of Batesville died Thursday, Sep. 24, 2015. Born Oct. 4, 1939 in Tillar, AR., she was the daughter of Burl and Mary Willis. She was retired from Lyon College. She enjoyed dancing, big band music, Elvis, painting ceramics, decorating, and entertaining. She was a devout catholic and very active in the church. She loved her family and friends and most of all spoiling her grandkids. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Ronald Ross; two daughters, Karen Moreno and Becky (Jimmie) Johnson both of Batesville; four sons, Greg (Paula) Ross of Sheridan, Steve (Jovi) Ross of Kannapolis, NC., Philip (Amy) Ross of Russellville, and John (Catie) Ross of Jonesboro; a brother, Clyde Willis of Clarksville; 17 grandchildren, Thomas, Theresa, Adria, Moriah, Caedmon, Gemma, Jude, Gianna, Ronan, Merry May, Trevor, Dylan, Kelsey, Caroline, Chloe, James and Paul; 3 great grandchildren, Mason, Jess and Emmett; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M to 7:00 P.M Sunday September 27, 2015 at Willis Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville. The funeral will be at 11:00 A.M Monday Sept 28, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Batesville, followed by Interment at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
