IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Larry Carroll
Peacock
May 3, 1946 – October 26, 2022
Larry Carroll Peacock, 76, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas died October 26, 2022, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville after a brief battle with cancer.
Born on May 3, 1946, to Charles Pratt Peacock and Nettie Mae Peacock, (nee Carroll), in Oviedo, Florida, he was the youngest of four children.
Gifted with natural athletic ability, he was a multi-sport athlete during his youth in Davenport, Florida where he excelled in baseball, football, and track and field. He attended Dan McCarty High School in Fort Pierce, Florida where he was a standout player on the Eagles football team. After leaving high school, he joined the United States Air Force, serving honorably in the 67th Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Squadron as a Pneudraulic Systems Repairman.
Following his service in the Air Force, he had a varied and successful career. His natural sales ability, combined with leadership qualities honed on the football field and in the Air Force, led him to successfully manage the largest boat dealership in Jacksonville, Florida. He was also an entrepreneur and founded a successful mortgage brokerage business in Fort Pierce, Florida, and later served as a bank president.
Larry was an avid outdoorsman who felt most at home on the water. He loved boats, water skiing, fishing for rainbow trout in the mountain rivers of North Carolina, and diving for lobster in the Florida Keys.
Larry is survived by his son, grandson, relatives, and friends.
The family plans a private service.
