Juanita Roberta Moriarity Whitehurst, 84, of Batesville passed away Sunday, August 18, 2013 in Batesville. She was born December 1, 1928 in Berryville, VA to John Henry Moriarity and Vivian Feltner Moriarity. She was a homemaker, American Legion auxiliary member, and a member of the Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack H. Whitehurst; one brother, Michael Moriarity; two sisters, Patsy Reed and Ruthie Bodmer and one son, James William Whitehurst. Survivors include one son, John H. Whitehurst of MI; one daughter, Dianna Taylor of Batesville; one brother, Jack Moriarity of Myrtle Beach, SC; four sisters, Mary Leps of Charleston, WV, Debbie Cross of Manassas, VA, Kathleen Moriarity of Myrtle Beach, SC and Pamela Moriarity of Blacksburg, VA; eight grandchildren Jessica Whitehurst, John Whitehurst, II, Timothy C. Taylor, Sean Patrick Breeden, Jamie Marie Whitehurst, James William Whitehurst, II, Jacquelyn Whitehurst, Juanita Whitehurst; three great grandchildren Mason Ian Whitehurst, Camden Alexander Whitehurst, and Aileah Whitehurst. Services will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Willis Funeral Service Chapel. There will be a private burial at a later date. Visitation will be Friday, August 23, 2013 from 7:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M.
