Joseph Willard Williams, 69, of Batesville passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013 in Batesville. He was born December 31, 1943 in Hickory Ridge to Eddie Franklin Williams and Avis Richeson Williams. He served in the Army and was an avid fisherman. He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jeffery Williams and his third wife, Maria M. Williams. Survivors include his wife, Rosa Williams of Sulphur Rock; four sons, Richard E. Williams of Batesville, Robert E. Williams of Clarksville,TN, Joseph Williams, Jr. of Decatur, GA, and Jorge Williams of Augusta, GA; one daughter, Shirley L. Stanton of Springfield, MO; four brothers, Thomas E. Williams of Newark, James Henry Williams of Sulphur Rock, Jerry Williams of Cave City and Larry Gene Williams of Batesville; five sisters, Wilma Inez Brown of CO, Carolyn Hutchison of Newark, Brenda Jo Stone of Sulphur Rock, Cynthia Marie Moye of Sulphur Rock and Pamela Charlene Wood of Newark; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. There will be a memorial service at a later date.
