Joseph Moody, 53 of Batesville passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013 in Batesville. He was born October 3, 1959 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Horace "Bud" Moody and Cora Birdsong Moody. He worked in Maintenance at Flowers Bakery and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his father and a son, Joseph Moody, II. Survivors include his mother, Cora Moody of Batesville, three sons, Paul Moody of Fort Worth, TX, Amos Moody of Pleasant Plains, Jacob Moody of Batesville; two daughters, Holly Moody Gillmore of Batesville and Haley Moody of Fort Worth, TX; two brothers, Horace Moody of Syracuse, NY and James Moody of Batesville; two sisters, Mary Wade of Batesville and Kathyleen Haughom of Batesville, and fourteen grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Willis Funeral Service Chapel with Ross Sturch officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Webster, Lucas Jansky, Buzz Boozy, Casey Moore, David Crabtree, and Darrell Gillmore. Visitation is Wednesday, June 19, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
