Jolene Thorn, 95, passed away on March 8, 2024, in Batesville, AR.  She was born on April 27, 1928, in Locust Grove, AR.  Jolene worked at the International Shoe Company. She enjoyed gardening in her spare time and loved to cook.  One of her favorite things she enjoyed doing was going on car rides with Carla.  Above all else, she loved her church, serving the lord, and spending time with her grandchildren.   Jolene was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have her in their lives.

Jolene is survived by Darrell (Carla) Thorn, Marilyn (Rickie) Clark, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, and dear friend Margaret Harrson. She is preceded in death by her father, Stonie Jeffrey; her mother, Euna Elms; husband, Ivan Thorn; brothers, Forrest Jeffrey, Wayne Jeffrey, and Bobby Jeffrey; sister, Mary Alice Southard; and infant sister, Juanita Jeffrey.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Locust Grove Missionary Baptist Church from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.  The funeral service, officiated by Roy Landers Jr. will be on March 13, 2024, at 2:00 pm.  Interment will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery.
