Johnny Leon Russell, 68, son of the late Leon Russell and Alba Lily Ray Springer was born on January 25, 1956, in Chicago, IL, and departed this life on May 26, 2024. He was a USDA inspector and a worker at the Newark power plant. He loved fishing and playing his guitar.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Joel Avery Russell, Ernest Buel Springer, and Jerry Lynn Springer; one sister, Phillis Sue Shaw; and nephews, Danny Brock and Cody Springer.

He is survived by his brother, Billy Springer of Fayetteville, AR; sisters, Pam Cordrey of Benton, AR, Dyana Sterling of Bald Knob, AR, and Monica Johnson of Velvet Ridge, AR; children, Bradley Brock of Cushman, AR, Johnathan Russell of Longview, TX, Shay Lynn Russell of Longview, TX, Josh Doland of Washington, and Jennifer Bullington of Florida; stepdaughter, Felicia Barron of Lake City, AR; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
