John Wilkett, 79, of Newark passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013 in Newark. He was born April 22, 1934 in Marvell to Charles Wilkett and Edith Opal Fannon Wilkett. He was a cattle farmer and car salesman. He loved his time on the farm working his cattle, spending time with his grandchildren and watching his grandsons, Spencer & Austin Reaves play Cedar Ridge Basketball. He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter; Donna Perkins, one brother; CharlieWilkett; and one infant son, Johnny Wilkett. Survivors include one son, Daniel Wilkett of London; three daughters, Kathy Mikulin of Conroe, TX, Diane Tippitt of Jonesboro and Nicole Wilkett of Newark, one brother; Bill Wilkett of MI, two sisters; Wanda Watts of Desha and Barbara Smith of Memphis, TN, nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
