Jerry Dale Sexton, 79, passed from this life on Monday, June 5, 2023. He was born in Ventura, CA, on October 20, 1943, but lived much of his life in Floral and his last years at Mountain Meadows. Jerry is preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Washam, his half-sister, Carolyn Baldwin, his half-brother Donnie Sexton, and his nephew Todd Pearson. He is survived by his brother, Phillip Sexton of Southside, his sisters, Phyllis Pearson of Judsonia, Jonna Williams of Pangburn, and Betty Patterson of Sparks, NV; three nephews, two nieces, three great nephews, and one great niece.

Jerry loved his family, but the two great loves of his life were Jesus and his mother. He was a member of the Floral Baptist Church. Blind for life, Jerry spent his time listening to gospel radio and music, singing and praising the Lord. Jerry's special gift was remembering dates. Family history was recorded in his memory.

Services are entrusted to Willis Funeral Service of Batesville. There will be a visitation on Friday, June 9, 2023, from 5 pm until 7 pm at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel. Graveside services will be Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 10 am, at Cedar Grove Cemetery near Floral. Scotty Burrow will officiate. Pallbearers will be Phillip Sexton, Bryan Sexton, Adam Sexton, Tim Pearson, Jonathan Watkins, and Marty Weathers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arkansas School for the Blind.
