Jerry Donald Midkiff, 65, of Desha died on Thursday, February 25, 2021. Jerry was born April 4, 1955 to the late James A. Midkiff and Johnnie Lee (Miles) Midkiff in Shreveport, LA. Jerry was a very humble man who valued hard work and family. He will be greatly missed and forever loved. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Ernest E. Midkiff; and his stepson David C. Quillen. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Debra Midkiff; his son, Johnny Lee Midkiff of Batesville, AR; his daughter, Leslie Marie Wilson (John Davis) of Bastrop, LA; his 3 brothers, Willis F. Midkiff (Gloria) of Vidor, TX, John Ray Midkiff of Batesville, AR, and Chester M. Midkiff (Barbra) of Batesville, AR; his 3 sisters, Blanchie L. Clems of Gun Barrel City, TX, Mary L. Gonzales of Buna, TX, and Caroline Midkiff of Beaumont, TX; and his 5 grandchildren:  Joe R. Wilson III, Christopher A. Wilson, Leigha M. Lightsey, James C. Lightsey, and Jesse Midkiff.

The family will host a memorial service on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the Desha Community Center from 11AM to 2PM. There will be a potluck so bring your favorite dish, pictures of Jerry, and happy memories.
