"Grandma passed away last night at 12:10. Eight years ago to the day, her late husband, Howard passed. I'd like to believe they are drinking coffee and catching up on everything." -David M.
"She lived a long, full, loving life and her and Howard are signing "Reunited"."- Chuck
"When I was little, my grandma Jean took me to the library and would check out any book I wanted to read, it was usually an animal encyclopedia with pictures, but she would get them and read every evening and answer all my crazy inquisitive questions that best she could. To this day I have a plethora of random animal knowledge in my head. I would always come home with some turtle, snake, lizard, chipmunks, etc so she bought a wildlife book so we could look them up and read about them. I still have those nooks and I will cherish them forever. Kate has a love for wild animals as well and I am constantly telling her random animal facts that I learned many years ago. Grandma also taught me to not only observe the beauty in nature but to preserve it. She would take me on walks and of course, I would pick every flower I saw until one day she told me to pick a few, but leave a couple so that they would grow some more in its place. She told me how those flowers weren't just a pretty plant, but that they were an important part of the ecosystem. When Kate is picking flowers I hear that in the back of my mind and pass that down to her. She loved all creatures from her hummingbirds, to her dogs… she had such a big heart for them. So yes, my grandma is no longer with us here on Earth, but she will live on through me, Kate, and her children." -Dawn
