IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jay Kay
Jefferson
April 19, 1972 – February 15, 2021
Jay Kay Jefferson, 48, passed away on February 15, 2021. He was born on April 19, 1972, in Memphis, TN.
Jay was a loving son, a supportive brother, and a great dad. Jay was a caring man who had a genuine love for people. He loved to make others laugh, and a one of a kind sense of humor. He loved spending time with friends and family. Everyone loved him, and he loved them back. Being outside, building things, classic rock, Saturday Night Live, history documentaries, and sitting around a fire, were a few things he enjoyed. He also enjoyed making breakfast on a Saturday morning, spending time with his dogs, donkeys, and mini horse. Most of all, he loved his family and we loved him too. Jay never missed an opportunity to tell his girls how proud he was of them. He wanted them to succeed and live happy prosperous lives.
Jay will be greatly missed. We are going to cherish the memories of his kind heart and his gentle tone.
He is preceded in death by his father, Joe Jefferson. He is survived by his mother, Ava Jefferson; daughters, Kay Gipson, Molly Jefferson, and Jaylyn Jefferson; sister, Angela Coats; and grandchildren, Saoirse Stogioglou and Orin Gipson.
