Jane Gloria Gunther, 77, of Cave City crossed over to heaven Friday, July 4, 2014 in Batesville. She was born October 13, 1936 in La Porte, IN to Leo Metts and Avis Fulford Metts. She worked at various restaraunts with Hardees being the last. She enjoyed serving and visiting with her customers. Jane was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cave City, enjoyed the Red Hat Ladies Club, watching her grandchildren play sports, family gatherings, puzzles and Christmas. Survivers include two sons, Jamel Korkis of Cave City and Kal Korkis of Batesville; one daughter, Hana Smith of Cave City; two sisters Alice Horn and Beverly Parrott of Michigan City, IN; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is preceeded in death by her parents; first husband, K.A. Korkis; second husband, Edwin Gunther; infant grandson, Derrick Korkis; two brothers, Andrew Metts and Sy Metts; and two sisters, Roberta Fowler and Joan Seiber. Services will be 3:00 P.M., Sunday, July 6, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Cave City with Bro. Ron Conard officiating. Honorary Pallbearers are Jordan Smith, Suzanne Parsley, Dayton Korkis, Gracie Korkis, Laney Smith, and Matt Battles. Visitation is 2:00 P.M. to service time on Sunday.
