James Edward Wood, 73, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021. James was born on July 18, 1947, to the late Hayden and Geraldine (Edwards) Wood in Cushman, AR. James was a very generous man with a big heart that would have done anything to help his family and friends. When he would help his family, even though he would tell them "don't tell grandma" after 55 years of being married, his loving wife Judy always knew. James was very skillful with his hands and loved remodeling homes and in his youth built stock cars. The love and legacy that James leaves behind for his family will be carried with them for the rest of their lives.

James is survived by his wife, Judy Wood; sons, David Blue Wood and Jim Wood; daughters, Dwana Adcock and Rachel Sansoucie; brother, Gary Wood; sisters, Dana Campell and Barbara Furtaw; grandchildren, Ashley Carter, Deavin Adcock, Lacey Adcock, Miranda Hemmert, Haley Robinson, Krystal Wright, James Wood, Josh Wood, and Hunter Wood; as well as 14 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hayden and Geraldine (Edwards) Wood; and sisters, Betty Nash and Kathy Powell.

Pallbearers are James Wood, Josh Wood, Hunter Wood, Devin May, Alldonn Skelton, and Andrew Carter. Honorary pallbearers we be Brandon Carter and Gary Wood.

A visitation will be held at Willis Funeral Service on Monday, March 8, 2021, at 9 AM with the funeral service to follow at 10 AM. Interment to Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
