James Floyd Henderson, 65, of Charlotte passed away March 15, 2016. He was born June 30, 1950 to Sam Ramsey Henderson and Myrtle Lee (Ginn) Henderson. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from April 1969 to October 1990. He loved fishing and watching westerns on TV and was a fan of John Wayne; he loved riding 4-wheelers with his grandkids, he loved playing the lottery, and loved to play pool, he loved time spent with his loving wife Mary, his grandkids, and his animals. He was preceded in death by his parents Sam and Myrtle Henderson; a stepson John Davis; and a nephew Adam Mudd. He is survived by his wife Mary Henderson; a stepson Michael Davis; six sisters: Wanda Dayberry, Betty Oliver, Linda Branscum, Brenda Harder, Lesha Book, and Patricia Darlene Mudd; two grandchildren: Garrett Davis and Grayson Davis; and a host of other relatives and dear friends. Visitation will be Thursday March 17 from 5-7 PM, funeral service will be Friday at 10:00 AM both at Willis Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Humane Society of Independence County.
