James Earl Godfrey, 66, passed away at home in Batesville, AR on December 3, 2023. He was born on November 18, 1957, in Marianna, AR to James Milford Godfrey and Daisy Rachael (Lawrence) Griffis. James enjoyed fishing, playing pool, and yard sales. He worked at Wholesale Tire and was a truck driver for several years. Above all else, James was a loving son, father, grandfather, and friend who will be missed by all those who were blessed to know him.

James is survived by his mother, Daisy Rachael (Lawrence) Griffis; sons, Charles Godfrey (Brandy) and Kyle Godfrey; daughter, Leslie (Godfrey) Acup (Jim); and brother, John Godfrey (Alice); and four grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, James Milford Godfrey; and sister, Joan Elizabeth Edgin.
