Jackie Monroe Howard, 73, passed away Thursday, January 4th, 2018. He was born September 13th, 1944 in Batesville, Arkansas. He worked for the Sante Fe Railroad as a signal maintainer for over 40 years. He was a member of the Jubilee Family Church. He liked to bowl and he liked to read. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lacy and Opal Howard; one son, Dwayne Howard; and his son-in-law, David Spies. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Janet Howard; three sons, Dale Howard and his wife Tina, Dennis Howard and his wife Paula, and Sam Howard and his wife Kari; his daughter, Amy Spies; five brothers; four sisters; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and one on the way; and a host of extended relatives, church family; and friends. Visitation will be Monday, January 8th from 5-7 PM at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, January 9th at the Jubilee Family Church at 10 AM with Bro. Tony Hammack officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Pallbearers include, Junior Howard, Brad Howard, Butch Kelley, Lonnie Biggers, James Wilson, and Gary Brock.
