Gladys Marie Balser, 91, of Batesville went to be with the Lord on May 27, 2018. She was born October 14, 1927 to Edward and Mabel McCarroll. Gladys was a homemaker and a member of Harrison Street Church of Christ. She enjoyed painting, crocheting, and playing the guitar. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Balser, one brother Verno McCarroll, two sisters Lilly Bell Travis an Ruby Pearl Wade. She is survived by one son, Roger (Debra) Balser, one daughter Tammy (Donald) Armstrong, and four grandchildren, Deanna (Cary) Gilbert, Keith Hinson and Lisa Kent, Micheal (Samantha) Balser, and Stephen (Marina) Balser. Visitation will be Thursday, May 31st from 5-7 PM at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel. Funeral service will be Friday, June 1st at 2 PM at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow at the Barnes Cemetery in Bethesda under the direction of Willis Funeral Service.
