Gerald Wayne Vanwinkle, 74, passed away July 17, 2016. He was a member of the Joy Baptist Church in Joy, Arkansas. He liked to hunt and liked horses and enjoyed mowing and yard work. He was preceded in death by his parents John Caleb and Lorine Vanwinkle; one brother Clinton Wayne Vanwinkle; and two grandsons Michael Aaron David Clause and Jeremy. He is survived by his wife Rose Vanwinkle; his son Randy Vanwinkle and his wife Tommie; a step-son Curt Pomranky and his wife Jolene; three daughters: Sherry Craiger and her husband Richard, Shelia Lindsey and her husband Tommy, and Lori Howard; a step-daughter Bonnie Young and her husband Carl; one sister Lorice Vanoven and her husband Fred; five brothers: John Vanwinkle and his wife Carol, Richard Vanwinkle and his wife Diane, Alva Vanwinkle and his wife Brenda, Jim Vanwinkle, and Warren Vanwinkle and his wife Denise; 20 grandchildren: Jimmy, Jeremy, Johnny, Russell, Leslie, Zach, Shane, Josh, Sarah, Tiffany, Kayla, Allie, Anna, Abby, Jon, Jen, Jamie, Megan, Samantha, and Brandon; and 22 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and dear friends. A memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday July 20th at 2:00 PM at the Salado Baptist Church. Honorary Pallbearers include Gerald's brothers. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a special account at Citizen's Bank in Rose Vanwinkle's name to cover the cost of Gerald's medical expenses. Arrangements made by Willis Funeral Service.
