Geneva Wood, 86, of Floral passed away Friday, August 9, 2013 at her home. She was born October 12, 1926 in Banner to John Harper and Mattie Coveston Harper. Ms. Wood graduated from Floral High School and earned a BA from Arkansas College in Batesvlle. She was an elementary school teacher in Floral, Concord, and Wilburn communities and of the Baptist faith. In retirement, she enjoyed quilting and gardening. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Olen Wood; infant son, Michael Wood; her brothers and sisters. Survivors include two sons, Derek Wood and his wife Carol of Sherwood; Mark Wood and his wife Janique of Claremont, CA.; and one grandchild, Sarah Wood also of Claremont, CA. Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Union Grove Cemetery in Pleasant Plains with Kenneth Harper officiating. Honorary Pallbearers are Karen Smith, C.L. Smith, Kim Demaris, Tharrell Davidson, Denise Davidson, and Morris Wood. Visitation will be Monday, August 12, 2013 from 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M.
