Eugene "Gene" Frank Chisam, 85, of McCrory, formerly of Batesville passed away Friday, October, 18, 2013 in McCrory. He was born February 27, 1928 in Salado to Frank G. Chisam and Lillie May Apple Chisam. He served in the Army and was a factory worker. Gene enjoyed fishing, traveling and was of the Christian faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Denver Chisam, Lloyd Chisam and Cletis Chisam; five sisters, Chrysteen Reynolds, Ruby Chisam, Opal Ballard, Gladys Grisby and Pauline Rorie and one nephew, Edgar Goff. Survivors include one nephew, Joe Don Reynolds of Batesville; one sister in law, June Chisam of Newport and a host other nieces and nephews. There will be a private memorial service at a later date.
