Gayle Lynn Lay, 59, of Pleasant Plains, passed from this life on earth to an eternity in heaven on Monday, September 2, 2024, in Newport.  She was born September 15, 1964 in Missouri to Harold and Mary Robertson Pace. Gayle enjoyed working with children whether it was through the grandparent program at Midland Elementary School, or teaching Sunday school class.  She was a member of Pleasant Plains First Assembly of God. Left to cherish her memory is her sons, Daniel (Brandy) Fennell, of Pleasant Plains, and Shannon (Meagan) Fennell of Rosie; her daughter, Hope Pace; her grandchildren, Devin, Landen, Lundyn, Kysen, Jayda, Sawyer and Bristol; her sister, Aletha Knapp, and many other family members and friends. Gayle is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Gary Pace. Arrangements are entrusted to Willis Funeral Service of Batesville, AR. Mrs. Gayle's Celebration of Life, officiated by Bro. Ched Carpenter, will be Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m at Pleasant Plains First Assembly of God.
