Franklin J Winfrey, 81, passed away March 24, 2016. He was born November 22, 1934 to Gudger and Opel Winfrey. He proudly served his country in the United States Army for four years during the time of the Korean War. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved sports and during his youth he was a good basketball player at Newark High School, he enjoyed farming and playing dominos, and going fishing. He was friendly to everyone he ever met. He was preceded in death by his parents Gudger and Opel Winfrey and his sister Virginia Clark. He is survived by four nephews: David Patterson, Charles Clark, Mars Clark, and Frankie Clark; and his brother-in-law Wade Clark; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
