IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Eula Mae
(Hodge) Hodum
September 8, 1930 – August 21, 2025
Eula Mae Hodum, 94, of Batesville, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025. She was born on September 8, 1930, in Protem, Missouri, to the late L.V. Hodge and Marie Ewing Duncan.
Eula Mae made her home in Spring Mill Holler near Batesville, where she lived a life filled with love, faith, and family. She was of the Pentecostal faith and found joy in the simple blessings around her. She loved planting flowers—especially her roses—feeding the birds, and spending time outdoors. Her greatest joys were her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and was well known for making the world's best biscuits and chocolate gravy.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, L.Z. Hodum; her father, L.V. Hodge; her mother, Marie Ewing Duncan; her stepfather, Roy Duncan; two sons, Eddie Biggers and Larry Biggers; and her daughter, Dedria Hodum.
She is survived by her son, Freddie (Diane) Hodum of Batesville; her daughter, Brenda (Ron) Brady of Belize, Central America; nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and twenty-nine great-great-grandchildren.
Eula Mae will be remembered for her love of family, her kind and giving spirit, and the many memories she created with those who knew and loved her.
