Ellen Louise Johnson Gavin was born June 20, 1923 to Edward and Nettie Johnson of Dodgeville, WI and passed away in Batesville on April 17th at the age of 90. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gordon P. Gavin, DDS who she married on July 14, 1945 after graduating from Marquette University. Ellen is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Tammy Gavin of Batesville; daughter and son-in-law Nedre' and Paul Fouche' of Clifton, VA, as well as four grandchildren: Jonathan and Kelley Fouche' of Mooreville, North Carolina; Jason Fouche' of Clifton, VA; Matthew Gavin of Batesville, and Rachael Gavin of Bentonville, AR. She is also survived by two sisters: Avis Heeler of Dodgeville, WI and Edith Huston of Winlock, Oregon. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 21, 2014 at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. A private burial will be held at Caney Springs Cemetery in Sage, AR.
