Edward Lee Wears, 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, on June 6, 2024, in Locust Grove, AR. He was born on September 29, 1940, to the late Virgil and Ruth Wears. Edward was a Vietnam Veteran in the United States Army. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and going to the casino. He also enjoyed listening to country and bluegrass music. Edward was a carpenter by trade and that was all he ever talked about. Above all else, he was a humble and kind man who loved his family and spending time with them.

Edward is survived by his daughter, Necia Becker (James); grandchildren, Crystal Mitchell (Albert) and Kevin Sbrusch (Angel); great-grandchildren, Dodge Sbrusch, Reese Sbrusch, Noah Mitchell, and Ashley Mitchell; nieces, Linda York, Donna York, Brenda Wallace, and Naho Aguirre; nephew, Shane Hagens; and brother-in-law, Erwin York. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Virgil, Walt, Charlie, Virginia, Bill, Gloria, Mary, and Janice.

There will be a visitation held at Willis Funeral Service Chapel on Monday, June 10, 2024, from 6 PM – 8 PM. The Graveside Service will be held at York Cemetery in Marcella, AR on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, starting at 2 PM.
