Earnestine Viola Watkins, 62, of Jonesboro passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013 in Jonesboro. She was born at Allen Hospital in Batesville on October 9, 1951 to Albert Hope Watkins and Essie Lene Darty Watkins. Earnestine attended Ethel O'Miller School and became a Christian at an early age. She worked as an assembly worker for White River Industries and was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her maternal and paternal grandparents; and her brother, Claxton Norwood Watkins. Survivors are her brother, Albert Randell Watkins Jr. and his wife, Yvette of Jonesboro and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Services will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, December 14, 2013 at the Bethel A.M.E. Church with Rev. Dr. Curley H. Roberts officiating. Interment will be in Sweet Home Cemetery at LaCrosse. Pallbearers are Tommy Wells, Tommy Harper, Jr., Daniel Smith, Carlos Ramsey, Tyrus Flowers and Ralph Grant. Honorary Pallbearers are Ms. Watkins' nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.
