Dortha Sue (Heathcoat) Gamel of Batesville, Arkansas, passed from this life on Wed. 28, 2018. She was Born on Oct. 5, 1936, in Batesville, Ar. to Luther and Maudie (Satterfield) Heathcoat. She was of Baptist faith and attended Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church. She was a avid gardener who adored flowers. She was a family historian and enjoyed genealogy. Dortha loved the outdoors and loved to fish and camp. She was a quilter and just loved to sew. Often she was found reading, that brought enjoyment to her. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph Gamel; sons, Ralph, Steven and Philip Gamel; daughter, Karen Gamel; brothers, E.L., E.C., W.L., and Jimmy Heathcoat. She is survived by siblings Terry Heatchcoat, Florence Lincoln, and Virgie Bury. 1 daughter-in-law Jamie (Smallwood) Gamel. 10 grandchildren, Candena (Gamel) Fuller (Dennis), Gary Perez Jr. (Ashley), Stephanie (Gamel) Rosas (Paulino), Krystal Perez, Joshua Gamel, Taylor McClendon (Lacey), Maci (McClendon) Roehling (Brett), and Colton Gamel. 15 great- grandchildren, Hadley Fuller, Ethan, Koda and Eli Perez, Nathan, Harper and Gael Rosas, Tiera Lucy, Chance Holstine, Tevin Perez, Brekalynn, Joshua and Josiah Gamel, Phillip Gamel,and Brenlee Roehling. There will be a graveside service Sat. Dec.1, 2018 10 a.m. at Barnes Cemetery Batesville, Ar. with Johnathan Baxter officiating.
