Dorothy Mae Childress, 45, of Batesville passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2020. She was born on July 25, 1974, in Forrest City, AR to Jimmy and Dorothy Childress.

Dorothy was a very loving mother, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Her greatest love was Jesus and her children. She loved going to church, going fishing, playing spades, and watching kung-fu movies. Her incredibly large heart and sweet spirit will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Childress.

She is survived by her children, Elijah Childress, Okoya Ward, and Jaden Ward of Batesville; brothers Don Smith, Joe Jones, Marvin Smith, Jimmy Childress, Earnie Dean Childress, Sam Childress, and Adrain Childress; sisters, Valerie Childress, Lula Lavon Childress, and Veatrice Childress. She was also survived by a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be at Willis Funeral Home on Friday, July 3, 2020, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2020, at The First New Testament Holiness Church in Batesville at 10:00 a.m.

Graveside service will be held immediately after memorial service at Ruddell Hill Cemetary in Batesville, AR. Repass to follow at The First New Testament Holiness Church.
