Donald Wayne Bernard, 77 of Batesville passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013 in Batesville. He was born March 19, 1936 in Eagle Grove, IA to Wayne Edward Bernard and Alice Griemes Bernard. He was a carpenter and of the Methodist faith. He is preceded in death by his parents and one nephew, David Steig Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Bernard of the home, one son, Brian Bernard of Petal, MS, two brothers, Dick Bernard of Batesville and Bruce Bernard of Urbandale, IA, one sister, Shirley Steig of Kalispell, MT, five grandchildren, Brett Bernard, Jamie Bernard, Brandon Bernard, Nikki Bernard and Brooklee Bernard. There will be a private memorial service at a later date.
