David Wayne Thorne, 74, passed away on May 12, 2026, in Searcy, AR. He was born on June 21, 1951, in Batesville, AR, to the late Billy Gene Thorne and Alma Faye (Martin) Thorne. David was a simple man who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was always kind and patient. He loved his dogs. David loved his family and always worked hard to provide for them. Above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.

David is survived by his son, Keith Thorne (Jennifer); daughters, Stephanie Cain (Andrew), Cynthia Skinner, Lacosta McAdams (Damon), and Christine Hunter; grandchildren, Brittany Taylor (Jason), Katie Thorne, Breanna Boyle, Emily Thorne, Kelsey Thorne, Sherry Brown (Alan), Alisha Pahsetopah (Kenneth), James Winkle, Ronnie Gray, Alexis Smith, Hunter Smith, and Lacy Smith; eleven great-grandchildren, brother, Donald Thorne; nephew, Dan Smith; and several nieces and nephews and extended family members. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rose Thorne; brother, Jimmy Dale Thorne; sister, Janet McKeen; and four grandsons, Michael Hutcherson, David Hollingshad, Andrew Lee, and Adam Lee.

Willis Funeral Service will host a visitation on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 6 PM to 8 PM.
