Danny Wayne Dowell, 70, of Batesville, AR, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2020. He was born on March 9, 1950, in Batesville, AR to Alvin Neal Dowell and Evelyn Biard Dowell. Danny spent 50 beautiful years with his loving wife Betty. It was love at first sight and the two got married the day after Betty's graduation and a week after Danny's. It would have been their 51st wedding anniversary on May 17, 2020. Though Danny has gone on to his Heavenly Home, the love that they share still continues.

There wasn't anything that Danny couldn't fix. He loved working with his hands, attending flea markets, hunting arrowheads, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his friends and family. He served our Lord and was a life long member of the Church of Christ. He spent 39 years at Midwest Lime Company running heavy equipment, being the welding supervisor, and was the assistant supervisor at the time of his retirement. He was licensed as a cooling agent technician and also attended school to get his blasting certificate for heavy explosives.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his son, Shawn Wayne Dowell; and mother in law, Elizabeth King of Norfork, AR. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Jane (King) Dowell of the home; as well as his 3 brothers, Alvin, Eugene, and Larry Dowell of Bethesda, AR. Honorary Pallbearers include Dr. Robert Walton, Dr. Anil Kumar, the nursing staff at WRMC, as well as many other friends and loved ones. A celebration of life is to be held at a later date.
