Dan Hal Magee, 77, of Batesville passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015 in Batesville. He was born September 8, 1937 in Mound, TX to William and Barbara Magee. Dan served in the U.S. Air Force and was a retired Southern Baptist pastor having pastored thirty nine years in Texas and Louisiana. Survivors include three sons, Randy Hal Magee of Quitman, LA, David Keith Magee of Batesville and Christopher Earl Magee of Fort Campbell, KY; two daughters, Dana Loy Magee Hargis of Batesville and Kelly Lynn Magee-Prichard of Stuggart, Germany; one brother, Maurice Magee of Gatesville, TX; one sister, Lou Ann Carr of Houston, TX; thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife of forty eight years, Carolyn Joyce Magee. There will be a memorial service at a later date.
