Christopher Allen Steel Sr., 74, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024, in Batesville, AR. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts on November 15, 1949, to the late Charles Loundes Steel III and Janet (Smith) Steel. Christopher enjoyed fishing, traveling, especially taking cruises, and writing poems and short stories about what was happening in his life at the time. He also liked playing and coaching tennis, which was one of his favorite things that he did with his son. Above all else, Christopher loved to spend time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Christopher is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Barbara "Gail" (Styles) Steel; his son, Christopher Allen Steel Jr. (Amanda); two grandchildren, Paxton Steel and Violet Steel; and a host of other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Loundes Steel IV; and sister, Natalie Zahalka.
