Christene Marie Piker, 87, of Batesville, Ar. passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2018. She was born on November 5, 1930, in Greenville, Mississippi, to Raymond and Bessie (Sanders) Freeman. Christene was a retired LPN who enjoyed gardening, flowers and decorating for Christmas. She was a foster grandmother to 97 children over a ten year period. She was the Director of the ladies Women's Ministry Group and played the piano for Newark Assembly of God church. Pioneered several Assembly of God churches with Husband Kenneth C. Piker. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth C. Piker; daughter, Pamela Piker; two sisters, Louise Shaw and Imogene Perryman. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Dewayne Piker (Diane); daughters, Rebecca Piker and Teri Kirkham (Kenny); grandchildren, Kevin, Chase, Mason, Gabriel, Shane, Kevin, Wendy, Savana, Sally, Ashley, Tonia, Allie; great grandchildren, Rylee, Eydan, Amber, Ashley, Chandler, Luke, Hank, Addie, Hayden, Sunny, Eric. There will be a visitation Wed. Nov. 7, 2018 5-7 p.m. at Willis Funeral Service. Funeral Service will be Thur. Nov. 8, 2018 10 a.m. at Newark Assembly of God in Newark, Ar. Officiating will be Thomas Carpenter and Bryan Combee. Interment Fri. Nov. 9, 2018 10a.m Owens Cemetery Ruston, La.
