Charles Edward Franks, 72, of Bethesda passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015 in Bethesda. He was born June 3, 1941 in Bethesda to Lemuel Franks and Sue Roark Franks. He served in the Army, enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on equipment. Charles loved the Razorbacks and his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Gloria Franks of Bethesda; two sons, Phillip Franks and Jimmy Franks both of Bethesda; two brothers, Bill Franks and Jesse Franks both of Bethesda; two sisters, Sandra Lawerence of Bethesda and Mary Sue Enoch of Cushman and three grandchildren, Dakotah Franks, Dwight Franks, Dalton Franks and special friends Jimmy Hughes, Greg and Steve Queary, Tom Bryant, Gary Dowell, Tommy Dowell, Harry Dowell, Johnny Dowell, Dr. Muhammad Khan, Dr. Jordan Weaver, Steve Dyer and Tammy.
He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Hershel Franks, Bobby Franks and Paul Franks; three nephews, Chris Franks, Carl Franks and Darrell Franks and one niece, Bonnie Sutton.
Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Campground Cemetery in Bethesda with Larry Sellers officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Abe Garcia, Ralph Garcia, Robert Garcia, Jesse Garcia, Alfred Garcia, Marty McCarville, Bill Franks, Jesse Franks, Sam Franks, Michael Franks, Terry Bunch and David Enoch. Special Pallbearers are Dakotah Franks, Dwight Franks and Dalton Franks.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday, January 16, 2015.
