Carrol (Momma/Meemaw) Dene McBride, 71, of Batesville passed away March 25, 2016 at the White River Medical Center. She was born July 28, 1944 to Austin Clint and Gladys (Cartwright) McSpadden. She worked in the Batesville area for 46 years as a medical laboratory technician and a radiology technician. She was a member of the Salado Baptist Church. She enjoyed riding horses, and once held the ladies state championship, she loved to garden, she loved to cook and was an excellent cook, and she believed her greatest achievement was her family she helped to raise. She was preceded in death by her parents Austin and Gladys McSpadden; and her nephew Carl Austin McSpadden. She is survived by two daughters: Rebecca McBride and her husband Bill Brashers, and Lisa McBride; three sons: Larry McBride, Jerry McBride, and Christopher McBride; and her brother Jack McSpadden of Salado; 13 grandchildren: Tyler Crabtree, Bryar Brosius, Carol Brosius, Josh Rife, David Brashers, Hannah Woodman, Michael McGowan, Josh McBride, Casey McBride, Jordyn McBride, Zakk McBride, Jeremy McBride, and Riley McBride; and a host of great grandchildren, other relatives, and dear friends. A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday March 29, from 4-7 PM at the Salado Baptist Church.
