Carolyn Kay Young, 76, of Batesville, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024.  She was born on January 24, 1948, in Batesville, Arkansas, to Othel and Hazel Barksdale. Carolyn had a love for gardening and cooking for the family any chance she could get. After years of dedication, she retired from White Rogers. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting, but above all else, she loved and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carolyn was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her and had the chance to experience her love for everyone.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Lorne Young; her daughter, Kim Dean (Larry); her grandchildren, Hannah White (Emma) and Jacob Young; step-grandchildren, Weston, Kerry, and Teighlor Dean; and great-grandchild, Dawson Dean.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Othel and Hazel Barksdale; her husband, Clyde Young; and her brother, Eddie Barksdale.

Services are entrusted to Willis Funeral Service, Batesville, Arkansas

There will be a visitation Monday, March 25, 2024, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm. At the Willis Funeral Service Chapel.
