IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carol Lee
Hallowell
November 2, 1946 – February 27, 2022
The Lord Jesus Christ called home one of his angels on Sunday, February 27, 2022 as Carol Lee Hallowell, 75, of Sage entered the gates of heaven. Carol was born November 2, 1946 in Sacramento, CA to the late Reginald Kendall and Dorothy (Sargent) Kendall. She graduated high school at Encina High School in Sacramento. Carol lived life to the fullest, she was so young at heart and she truly made an adventure out of life. Carol's calling in life was to spread the Word of God and be a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and "great gram". She accepted this calling and served the Lord Jesus Christ as a teacher of the word and a prayer warrior. In good times or bad, Carol would bring her friends and family together to remind them of the strength of the Lord, teaching and studying the word with anybody that would listen.
Enough can't be said about the love between Carol and her husband David. Carol's calling and passion was to the Lord first, but matched only by her love and devotion to her family, especially her best friend and husband, David. Carol and Dave were married February 14, 1971. This past Valentine's Day they celebrated 51 wonderful years of marriage. Anywhere you saw one, you saw the other. They truly lived out the biblical meaning of marriage and enjoyed every adventure that life presented. She loved to tell the story of how they met and how through the ups and downs they were inseparable and unwavering. Carol loved all of her family and wanted them near as often as possible.
She is survived by her loving husband, David Hallowell; her daughter, Dee Daves; her son in law, Keith Daves; her sisters, Sharon Perrin (Phil) and Heather Kendall; her brother Rich Kendall (Lynne); her beloved grandchildren, Chris Hallowell; Jessica Brokaw (Clint), and Sami Rutherford (Aaron); her treasured great-grandchildren, Garrett, Rylan, Alex, Addyson, Colin, Grace, and soon to be in May, her youngest great-grandson, Jaxson, who will no doubt have a beautiful guardian angel guiding him into this world.
Carol is reunited in heaven with both parents; her granny and grandfather, Halbert and Ida Sargent; and her sister, Judith Deuyour.
Arrangements are entrusted to Willis Funeral Service of Batesville, AR. The family will host a Celebration of Life on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at 2 PM at Zion Hill Fellowship; 4865 AR HWY 289 Sage, AR 72573. Carol wanted her Celebration of Life to mirror her life, bright, vibrant, full of love and laughter, and not a somber affair. She didn't want dark clothing, or sad music. Carol would want this time of fellowship to be about remembering the good times, worshiping the Lord, and coming together to strengthen one another for life going forward. Carol would want everyone to remember that she is no longer hurting, she is young again and running on streets of gold with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and all the beloved family that she is surely in the presence of now.
