Carl Donald Smith, 64, of Sulphur Rock passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014 in Batesville. He was born March 1, 1950 in Batesville to Jake Edward Smith and Shirley Eleanor Mullins Smith. Carl was a member of the Sulphur Rock Baptist Church and loved the outdoors and fishing. Survivors include one brother, Eddie Michael Smith of Newton, Iowa and two sisters, Sandra Kay Smith Long of Lynn and Glenda Smith Hernstrom of Batesville. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Terry Wayne Smith; two sisters, Alice Janette West and Dortha Jean Smith and one nephew, Tyler Crews. Memorial servcies will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the Willis funeral Service Chapel with Kenny Crafton officiating. There will be a private burial at a later date.
